Feedback from Questionnaires
My target demographic is 16-25, and in order to gain some
accurate feedback from my audience, I selected a sample from my target
demographic, a smaller subset of the general population I am interested in
targeting, my sample was small and more of an opportunity sample rather than a
random sample.
My sample included 4 females and 1 male, with their ages
ranging from 16-18.
I asked a variety of questions to target specific areas that
I wanted to know more about, such as social class and the kind of music video
an audience expect from a dance song, in order to obtain findings that could
influence the planning of my music video.
From my research, I have been able to conclude that my
target audience, that over half of my sample had not visited an artist webpage.
Those that had visited an artist’s web page, often visited to look at the
artists merchandise, or tour dates. Aspects of the artist web page that my
audience seemed to particularly like were the visuals, and the interactive
elements. This is extremely beneficial to know because then I can incorporate
more of these element into my own artist webpage.
All of the recipients of my questionnaire disclosed that
they were middle class, which will aid me greatly in gearing my music video
towards people of that class.
